jackie evancho

Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Evancho (born April 9, 2000) is a young soprano from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Evancho was born to Michael and Lisa Evancho and has an older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister.[1] She started singing when she was seven years old, after watching the movie Phantom of the Opera. Her mother heard Evancho singing songs from the movie and allowed her to enter a local talent contest just for fun. She finished as the runner-up and was voted the audience favorite. Eventually she participated in other talent contests and started a YouTube channel.[2]
Evancho has performed onstage with producer David Foster[3], was an invited performer on the PBS Special "Celebrate America" with conductor/composer Tim Janis, sang the National Anthem at an event honoring aviation pioneer General Chuck Yeager[4], and has performed many times at the invitation of Pennsylvania Senator Jane Orie[5]. Jackie also performs at numerous events and charity functions in and around her hometown[6].
Jackie Evancho sings in the "classical crossover" style of singers such as Hayley Westenra and Sarah Brightman. She studies singing with a voice coach,[7] and also plays the violin and piano.[1]
On November 1, 2009, Evancho released her debut album called Prelude to a Dream.[8][9] The album features mainly covers of songs such as Martina McBride's Concrete Angel, Josh Groban's To Where You Are, and a cover of Amazing Grace among others. Several opera covers also appear on the album.
On December 2, 2010, she is scheduled to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City and will be the youngest female vocal soloist ever to have performed there.[10]
On August 10, 2010, on America's Got Talent[11], she performed O Mio Babbino Caro by Giacomo Puccini. The song is also on her debut album. She received a standing ovation after her performance, and was awarded a trip to Universal Studios in Florida for receiving the most fan votes from the submissions to the show from YouTube

She is a cute little blonde who said, “tonight I want to prove to America that the best things come in small packages.” She may have done just that.
Jackie Evancho, a 10-year-old young lady from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, just gave a performance on America’s Got Talent’s that left me thinking, Oh My Gosh, Is She Really Singing?
Honestly, I did have my doubts, but I don’t think that there was anyone else out there. The sound on that stage was coming from this amazing little girl.
I am not an opera fan, but I have listened to some enough to know that what she did tonight could not be done by just anyone. She said that she started singing when she was  eight years old, oh okay that explains it! Yeah, right! Seriously, this little girl has talent.
Tonight’s show featured acts that auditioned on You Tube for the opportunity to perform on the show with a chance to advance to the semi-finals. In fact, Jackie was the contestant who actually received the most votes on the You Tube competition.
I don’t know who all is going to be advancing tomorrow night, but I think I can say with 100% certainty that one of the semi-finalists and actually, a finalist on the show will be a 10-year-old opera singer from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
I wanted to share the video of her performance with you guys but I don’t think it has been posted yet, so I will get it in the morning. If you missed her tonight you will want to come back and see the video.
Until next time,
